Restaurant Höst won as ”Best Restaurant” at the annual T+L Design Awards.
What a great start to the year!
Last week Menu received an international design award as Restaurant Höst won ”Best Restaurant” at the annual T+L Design Awards.
Travel+Leisure is known as “the world’s most influential travel brand” and every year they gather an amazing jury and pick out the best designs and innovations of the year.
T+L AWARDS ON RESTAURANT HÖST: ”Rough plank ceilings and tables, gypsum brick walls, recycled windows, cutting boards as wall art, and furry hides bring farm to table—literally. Spindle chairs in three variations and dinnerware, all in a palette of white, gray, and black, introduce a purity of form as clean-lined as the food on the plate”.
As some may know the story of Restaurant Höst all began with a new plate …
Back in 2011, when we were working on a new series of dinnerware with Norm Architects, it became clear to us that a series with such a unique Nordic feel needed an equally unique base. Something way out of the ordinary. So we joined forces with Copenhagen restaurateurs Cofoco and together we designed, invented and built what is today known as Höst – one of the World’s best design restaurants.
Thank you T+L! And thank you Cofoco and Norm for the great collaboration on Höst.
We’re both proud and thankful for all the positive feedback on our work. Visit Travel And Leisure for more on our award and the rest of the nice T+L award winners here.
